Ten days after the election, Seattle council member Richard Conlin conceded his election to Kshama Sawant.  Conlin called a press conference late Friday afternoon outside the 2nd floor council offices at Seattle City Hall, after the latest election returns showed him at 49.36% to Sawant’s 50.30%.

Conlin spent four terms on the council, and served two terms as Council president.  Sawant, a candidate with Socialist Alternative, ran an energetic campaign focused on a $15 minimum wage.
