Mayor Murray’s new “waterfront office”

February 10, 2014 at 11:06 pm

With the state’s tunnel-boring machine stuck and the city’s seawall project over budget, newly-elected Seattle Mayor Ed Murray says he will create a new Office of the Waterfront.  In an interview with Bryan Johnson, Murray says the new city office will report directly to the Mayor and will coordinate efforts of the Department of Transportation, Planning and Development, Parks and Seattle Public utilities.

Bryan Johnson also asks the mayor about a wide range of topics, from city employee pensions to changes at the Seattle Police Department.  After six weeks in office, Murray also reveals his biggest frustration to date.
