As Democrats gathered for their state convention this weekend, U.S. Senator Patty Murray and Gov. Jay Inslee both figured the easiest path to unify their party was to talk about Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump, a potential president.  Let that sink in for just a minute,” Murray told the crowd at the opening dinner.
Sanders swept the state’s March caucuses, which means the vast majority of national delegates from Washington state will be Sanders delegates.  With Hillary Clinton now the presumptive nominee, Sanders supporters are now focusing on the party platform.  Some also want a resolution eliminating the use of superdelegates from the next election cycle.
In this video report, we talk with Sanders and Clinton supporters about where they go from here.
